Champions League: money back if Chelsea doesn’t qualify

English Premier League side Chelsea will be battling it out with Paris Saint-Germain of the French Ligue 1 for a spot in the quarterfinals of the European Champions League. This second-led of the round-of-16 tie will be taking place at Stamford Bridge in London on Wednesday, March 11. The first leg ended in a 1-1 draw which means another 1-1 score line will see the match go into extra time. If the two squads can’t settle things in the extra 30 minutes then the match will be decided by a penalty shootout.

A 0-0 draw will see Chelsea go through while any draw above 1-1 will favour PSG. Of course, if one of the teams manage to win they’ll qualify for the last eight. Sportsbook BetVictor is offering a special promotion which will see bettors receive a refund if Chelsea doesn’t advance to the next round. The bookmaker will refund losing Correct Score, First/Last Anytime Goalscorer, Half-Time/Full-Time, Scorecast and Spincast wagers as a free bet up to 10 pounds/euros. Last year at the quarterfinal stage PSG had a 3-1 lead after their home leg, but managed to throw it away when they were beaten 2-0 at Stamford Bridge. It looks like Chelsea has a relatively healthy squad available as Nigerian international midfielder John Obi Mikel looks to be the only layer ruled out of the encounter. For PSG manager Lauren Blanc, he’ll have to do without the services of right-back Serge Aurier and winger Lucas Moura.

If PSG advance it will be their third straight year reaching the quarterfinals. If Chelsea should happen to advance to the last eight it will mark their fourth quarterfinal appearance in the last five Champions League seasons. Chelsea’s Spanish international striker Diego Costa leads the Premier League in scoring, but hasn’t found the net as of yet in the Champions League this campaign.
